Day 9: Things I'm Grateful For

Aaaaand I'm back for another week's blog on "Things I'm grateful for!" Hope you all had an amazing week...

Okay I'll get straight to the topic. I feel really grateful for having my mom, dad and brother, which is more than many kids can say. Of course I'm really lucky to have all my relatives- Aunts, Uncles, Cousins who always encourage everything I do. I also feel really lucky that I have been able to keep in touch with them over the vast distances we are separated by. Once in a sleepover, a couple of friends of mine and I were talking about this very topic, and one of my friends said that though she had both sets of grandparents and a great-grandmother (like me), she did not feel extremely lucky. That incident has left a mark on me until now.

Next up are, quite obviously, my friends. I've always made friends pretty easily, as I know a lot of stories about people from all over the world which make most people laugh. Again, thanks to my relatives and friends from across the world, I can relate to other people's stories, making us instant friends. Most of the time, my friends soon get to know me really well, and wherever I go, I could always call on them for something. That is one thing I am really grateful for.

The next most important thing to me is that I can go to school. One in five people in the world is illiterate, with two-thirds being women. I feel really grateful that I can read and write, for what would I do without books? I am also grateful for all the other things I can do, like singing, dancing and drawing. Without these, I wouldn't be me, so for them I'm grateful.

Here's something to think about.
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. ~ Melody Beattie
On that note, see ya next Saturday!

Day 8: The Best Friends I've had

Hey... I've been debating for the past five minutes whether I would put my best friend first or last. And I still haven't decided. Guess I'll just go with the flow, and see what happens.

Hmm... so I've had a lot of really close friends in my apartment, since most of the time I'm in small groups of three. Starting with all the way back when I was really small, I used to play with these two girls S and M, but they shifted out of my apartment. After that in first grade this girl SV shifted in. She lived opposite my aunt's house, who introduced her to me. We were very similar and became very good friends quickly. Unfortunately, she, too moved out two years later, to Singapore. Then the time difference made it slightly hard for us to keep in touch. Soon I used to only speak to her occasionally. My friend SSV (lol) used to be both in my apartment and in my school, but was too busy to play regularly.

Two years later, in fifth grade, I made a friend, MV. I got along with her easily and soon began to play with her everyday. I met her friend MS among many others. The two of them became really good friends of mine and over time they were among the people I trusted the most.

School is a completely different story. I've almost always had a large group of friends, so naturally none of them was very close to me. Until fifth grade, where I began to sit with just my friend MA. MA became my closest friend and I became hers. Needless to say, she was my best friend (almost). Soon we began to sit with another group, with AS, AS, AR, SS, CMB and TK. In seventh grade we were joined by AG, PC, AM and and GR. They were all completely amazing and the coolest people I've ever met.

Moving on to out here. I didn't have any friends till school started. I made a whole bunch of friends on my first day of school. The three friends I sat with are DP, KF and HB. I still sit with them and they are awesome from head to toe, especially DP. DP is now one of my really good friends. I realized soon after that this girl, AY, was in all but one of my classes. We soon became good friends and did a bunch of projects together. She is really cool and really pretty too.

Next comes NS. She's awesome and sweet, and lives in my apartment. I play with her everyday and tell her random stories than leave both of us laughing by the end of the day.

The last person is A. Yup, just A. A became a really good friend of mine gradually and is now one of my really good friends.

I guess I decided to save the best for last after all. My oldest and best friend ever. ID. She fills in all the gaps I missed out. I've known her since I was four years old, and she too used to be both in my apartment and in school. She's always been there for me and has dealt with every mood I've ever been in. She, too moved out in fifth grade, and to Germany in sixth, but we never lost touch. She's been with me for as long as I can remember. We have had so many sleepovers and more fun than anyone else could ever have. I love her more than anyone else in the whole world.

So those are my best friends. I do have a lot of other friends who are really nice and every single one of them has made an impact on me, big or small, know it or not. So thank you all for being there for me, and I'll see you next Saturday!

Day 7: My Dream Job

Hey again! I'm really sleepy, because I got woken up (thanks ma) at 745 on a Saturday. Anyway, I'll do my best to describe what my dream job would be at this point of time.

So... I have always kept changing what I want to be, from a teacher to a doctor (definitely not anymore), to an author (which I can do side by side) and now, finally, I think I've finally found something that will work well for me. No I'm not telling you what it is yet.

First, what I want and don't want in a job. I DO NOT want to sit behind a desk in front of a computer. I will definitely not do anything like programming, because like I said, it involves a computer hugely. My next and only other requirement is that I need human interaction. I want to be able to talk to lots of different people from lots of different backgrounds, with lots of different stories. I hope you're getting an idea of what job I've got my eye on. If not, one last clue. I love helping people in all kinds of ways, from sharing pencils to when cheering my friends up when they're sad. So my dream job fulfills all these requirements and is absolutely 100% mine. If you haven't guessed yet, I want to be a psychologist. A psycho-therapist to be exact.

Can you imagine how wonderfully perfect it would be for me? I would get to help people all day long. Different people, from different places, with different stories to tell. It would be a huge learning experience for me. In case you don't know what a psycho-therapist does, they basically talk to people who are feeling sad or confused and cheer them up. I just explained this to my brother, and he said, "You're confused, and I'm talking to you, so I'm a psychologist." And I replied, "But I'm not sad and you're not making me happy, so no, you're not a psychologist." And he replied, "Then I'm an anti-psychologist!" XD I laughed so hard at that, and he started singing, "I'm an anti-psychologist! I'm an anti-psychologist!"

So that is my dream job. It really is something I've finally set my heart out on becoming, and I really hope I manage to become one. Have a great week and I'll see again next Saturday!

Day 6: My obstacles and challenges

Hi again! I'm really sorry I  forgot to write this yesterday.... I was really, well kinda busy yesterday and completely forgot.

Hmm..... my obstacles. I'm honestly a bit confused. Obstacles to what? I'm just going to go with stuff that generally makes me not finish stuff because that's the only things I can think of for now. If you have a better idea to what this topic is supposed to be, comment below and I'll redo this in the end.

So. First of all. Laziness. I'm really really lazy to do everything, and I take a ton of breaks from everything just to sit around and chill out.

Secondly, (this goes with my laziness) my amazingly developed procrastination skills. I literally come home everyday and sit down with a storybook for two hours straight. I only stop reading if my friend comes to call me to play. I do absolutely no work until I eat my dinner. After dinner I SLOWLY get my textbooks to see what homework I have actually I'm too lazy to see what HW I have. I usually just text my friends. Then I actually sit down to do my work. After I pick the perfect song from the perfect playlist that is. Every couple of minutes I change the song or randomly start singing and/or dancing to the music. By the time I finish my work it's like 9:30. And then, back to my book.

Like I said before, I read a lot. About one book a day. Sometimes when I read slowly or don't have enough time, it takes me two days. But I read a lot. So books are like my major obstacles. I literally take every chance I get to read. And that probably takes up the time I could use to do other stuff.

I'd like to say one thing though. I definitely do not think my phone is an obstacle. Like no. It only helps me talk to people and sometimes I might use it a bit more than my mom would like me to but I certainly do not think I would do work any better if I did not have my phone.

That's all for this week. See you next week!

Day 5: Would You Rather Questions

My first post of a New Year...Happy New Year everyone!!! Have an amazing year ahead!!!

So..... Would you rather questions.... pretty straightforward, so I'll get right to it. I tried to look for questions that weren't too easy to answer some of the questions were pretty stupid and obvious

1. Would you rather sleep with a skunk or a porcupine?
Answer: A porcupine, but I'd wrap it in a big fluffy pillow.

2. Would you rather go skydiving or hand-gliding?
Answer: Hand gliding definitely.

3. Would you rather be able to read and write (in all languages) or understand and speak (in all languages)?
Answer: Reading and writing, I think, because that way I can read ancient scripts and things like that and be able to write stories and stuff (how cool is that?). Honestly, though, I really wish I could choose both.

4.  Would you rather have 10 wishes (you can't wish for money), or $100 million?
Answer: I'd take the wishes hands down. I thought this one would probably have quite a few people disagreeing with me, so comment your opinion.

5. Would you rather be stuck in a broken elevator or a broken ski lift?
Answer: A broken ski lift, I guess. The view would be great (because if it wasn't high up I would just jump off) and I would be well protected from the cold anyway.

6. Would you rather be able to control what you dream or re-watch your dreams the next day?
Answer:  I would choose to re-watch my dreams because I don't exactly have bad dreams and my dreams usually include things like my old friends in my new school and stuff like that which would be interesting to re-watch while I'm actually awake the next day. (again, this is a very arguable topic, so comment below!)

7. Would you rather never shower again or never look at your reflection again?
Answer: This one is hard. I'm leaning towards never looking at my reflection again, only because I would probably not survive without showering.

8. Would you rather be 4'5" or 7'7"?
Answer: 7'7". That's my goal anyway ;)

9. Would you rather take a guaranteed $100,000 or a 50/50 chance at $1,000,000?
Answer: The 50/50 chance for no better reason than that I like taking chances. (let the arguing begin)

10. Would you rather be in constant pain or have a constant itch?
Answer: A constant itch might be a bit better than constant pain. (What do you think?)

11. Would you rather only be able to whisper or only be able to shout everything?
Answer: Only be able to whisper for sure, because I don't shout much anyway. I know some people who might want to disagree with my choice, though. You know who you are. Tell me what you think.

12. Would you rather be a genius in a world of morons, or a moron in a world of geniuses?
Answer: A genius in a world of morons (which I am anyway.... Just kidding. I'm definitely not.)

13. Would you rather go forward or backward in time?
Answer: Forward in time, because I'm really curious and I already know what happens in my past.

14. Would you rather be in your pajamas all day or in a suit all day? (this one is specially for one particular person to answer. Someone who really likes suits. You know who you are)
Answer: I don't really wear suits, so I'll substitute that for a fancy dress. I would definitely be in PJ's all day. Even if the other option isn't a fancy, itchy dress.

Those are all the thought-provoking questions I found. If you're not too busy, please take a minute to comment what your choices would be. Thanks and see you next Saturday!
