Hey there! I hope you had an awesome week....of the exact same schedule repeated everyday, for five days. I was really bored.
A month or so ago we did an assignment in school in which we had to personalize our fears and write a story. I honestly didn't know what to write about, because I'm not really afraid of anything. There is a fine line between things I don't like and things I am afraid of, and there's absolutely nothing on the fear side of my line. There's a lot of things that people normally fear that I merely don't find very pleasing, like insects or clowns, but I really like some of the things that normally make people scared. Like heights, water, dogs or darkness. Public speaking is one major thing I love, that majority of people don't really like.
I looked up a list of most common fears and I'm going to write about however many I can till I can't write anymore. Or till I have to leave.
1. Aeophobia: Fear of flying. Definitely not afraid of flying, though I firmly believe that this should be called fear of crashing instead.

1. Aeophobia: Fear of flying. Definitely not afraid of flying, though I firmly believe that this should be called fear of crashing instead.
2. Glossophobia: Fear of public speaking. Like I already said, I love public speaking. Actually, I love speaking in general. But public speaking makes me feel really confidant, like I rule the world and everyone is forced to listen to me, and I love it.
3. Acrophobia: Fear of heights. How can anyone be afraid of heights? There are always beautiful views to look at from a height. It makes me feel on top of the world.
4. Nyctophobia, Scotophobia, Lygophobia: Fear of the dark. I find darkness peaceful. It helps me think and focus on whatever I need to. Most of my ideas come to me while I lie in the dark. I find darkness really fun and helpful. I love challenging myself to get a glass of water in the dark without touching anything, testing my memory and controlling my instincts to reach for something. Most people, though, are afraid of what's in the dark, as opposed to the dark itself.
5. Necrophobia, Thanatophobia: Fear of dying. Psht. I'm not afraid of dying. I'm not Voldermort here. Everyone will die eventually, and it's not going to make a difference to me because I'll be dead anyway. Maybe I'm a bit scared of the people I know really well dying, but not for myself. Not even one tiny bit.
6. Kakorrhaphiophobia: Fear of failure. I find the need to fill the silences after a teacher asks a question with an answer. I have to try to answer or I'll never forgive myself. So, fear of failure isn't really an option here.
7. Arachnophobia: Fear of spiders. More like fear of what I spider could do to you. I don't like spiders, but I definitely am not afraid of them. What's the worst that could happen? I fall sick? It hurts for a while? I die? Like I said I really don't care about spiders or their bites.
8. Cynophobia: Fear of dogs. I see this all around me, everyday. I know dogs are too friendly at times and sometimes people don't like being licked by a dog. But most of the time, dog fear comes from stories of painful dog bites or an experience of a close friend or relative. My friend and I were walking just the day before yesterday and we passed a lady walking her dogs. My friend automatically went to my other side and peeped over my shoulder, as I told the lady she was afraid of dogs. The lady told us that her sister had been bitten by a dog when she was small and she had been afraid of dogs too. But she soon realized that they weren't as bad as she thought and now she has two of her own.
I have one piece of advice for everyone. Face your fears. All it takes is one bold attempt to face what scares you and I assure you it will change your life forever. Until next week, adios!
